Effective ways to repair my credit score?

March 2, 2010 · Posted in Credit Score Repair

I have had established credit for about 9 years. I never had any sort of problem until the last few years. My credit score was drastically effected. I had a charged off credit card, medical bills sent to collection then reported to the credit bureau, and the list goes on and on. I am not a bad person, just got in a position that I just couldn’t catch up. I realize that the damage is done, but I have every intention of paying off everything I owe, including my credit cards by Xmas. My credit score basically went from high 600s, to low 500s. I am looking to buy a house, but it wouldn’t be fore another 2 years, is that enough time to repair credit score?
Once I pay all my credit cards off, which are all over the limit, and late, would that help a lot? How about paying the charged off credit card? How to diputes work, are they effective?

Сredit repair workеd fine to fix my credit. They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report. I used this service – freecreditreport.sinfree.net

Keep paying your bills on-time and early. Don’t take out any more loans.References :

Yes, that should be enough time to get your credit back in order. May I suggest getting in touch with a credit counseling service? They’ll help you consolidate your debt so you only have one place to pay instead of 10. It’ll help you big time! Good luck.References :

Pay at least the minimum on each and every card each and every month. No ifs, ands, or buts… just DO it. Put yourself on an allowance and stick to it, putting all the money that you possibly can against each and every card where you are over balance.

Go to the website for Equifax and the others and get from them your free credit report that you are entitled to receive each year. If there are any incorrect items, DEFINITELY file a response with them following the instructions that the credit bureau will give you. If the information is correct, leave it alone.

The only other advice I can give you is to marry someone with a good credit rating and pray that they can buy the house in their name.References :

2 years is more than enough, you just have to pay on time, always on time your bills and your credit score will be improved.References :
